About Cortisol Manager

Cortisol Manager is a formula specifically created to help the body regain hormonal balance when going through periods of stress. The carefully-selected ingredients contribute to the reduction of anxiety while the botanicals included in the product also support normal cortisol levels and normal relaxation.

How Cortisol Manager Works

When we are exposed to an acute stressor, our body instantly forwards the production of the so-called stress hormone, cortisol – you could consider it the “first responder” the body sends when feeling “threatened” (the stressor is the enemy here). Via a complex procedure where the pituitary gland and the hypothalamus send signals to the adrenal cortex, which, in turns, stimulates the production of cortisol, the body tries to find its balance again and regulate its internal condition so that we can return to a normal stress-free life. Depending on how well the body is handling stress at that time, the secretion of cortisol may vary. Generally, it reaches its zenith in the early morning hours when we need to wake up and start executing our tasks and then declines as we move further into the day.

Cortisol Manager has been formulated to help maintain our alertness throughout the day, without feeling neither too exhausted nor too stressed. Instead, the product promotes relaxation and balances cortisol levels as a means to let us enjoy a restful night’s sleep when that time comes.

Cortisol & Health – A Crucial Link

Besides a hormone that the body releases during stress, cortisol also affects the body in several other ways. To begin with, almost every single cell within the human body has cortisol receptors, which shows that it is a vital component for our good health and our cell’s normal function. Classified as one of the steroid hormones, cortisol can help with memory formulation, reduce inflammation, regulate the metabolism, and control blood sugar levels.

All that aside, it is also found to have a controlling effect on the water-salt balance, and, in turns, plays a vital role in keeping blood pressure within normal levels. In women, cortisol is a primary fetus-supporting hormone during pregnancy. One of the problems related to high cortisol levels is Cushing Syndrome, a condition that is distinguished by elevated cortisol levels in the blood – something that is sometimes caused by tumors on the adrenal or pituitary gland. In this case, the individual experiences sudden weight gain in certain areas of their body, especially the core, such as the chest, abdomen, and face. More than often, these symptoms are accompanied by changes in the skin, high blood pressure, and a flushed face, along with mood swings. In women, high cortisol levels may affect their menstrual cycle and libido.

On the other hand, low levels of cortisol can lead to Addison disease, a rare condition that is also known as Primary Adrenal Insufficiency. When that occurs, the body attacks its own adrenal glands (autoimmune disease), and symptomatology includes muscle loss, mood swings, fatigue, and skin changes.
