About Clear Phlegm
Clear Phlegm (Wen Dan Tang) is a Health Concerns formula that has been designed to clear phlegm from the gallbladder and the stomach, as well as remove excess heat. It is a product that can be particularly useful to address a wide range of health conditions and symptoms, including attention deficit disorder, hyperactivity, timidity, restlessness, insomnia, palpitations, dizziness, vomiting, nausea, and profuse foamy or white sputum. It may also help loosen lung mucus as a means to relieve chest congestion. Finally, Wen Dan Tang may alleviate anxiousness. Overall, Clear Phlegm is a herbal supplement that addresses copious phlegm, which is caused when there is disharmony in the digestive system.
How Clear Phlegm Works
In Traditional Chinese Medicine, a slippery pulse, a greasy tongue coating, copious sputum, and distention are all outcomes deriving from phlegm in the stomach. A bitter taste in the mouth, on the other hand, is an indication of heat in the gallbladder, which may also affect decisiveness, according to Traditional Chinese Medicine. Gallbladder Qi congestion or weakness is often the cause of timid behavior, as well.
Now, the combination of heat and phlegm leads to vomiting, nausea, dizziness, anxiety, palpitations, insomnia, irritability, and other symptoms that suggest organ dysfunction. This is where Clear Phlegm comes into play, trying to soothe these symptoms and eliminate the root cause of all the consequences/conditions related to phlegm heat.
When to Use Clear Phlegm
In general, Wen Dan Tang can be particularly effective when used for phlegm conditions, such as cough with clear, white, or yellow phlegm. Also:
Clear Phlegm Ingredients
The formula contains the following herbal compounds:
Ban Xia (Pinellia) – A primary herb that reduces chest and/or abdomen stuffiness and distention and dissolves cold phlegm from the stomach and lungs. Ban Xia can also ease fluid retention, improve mental clarity, and reduce brain fog.
Chen Pi (Citrus Peel) – It strengthens the spleen, helps resolve damp, circulates the stomach and the spleen Qi, and reduces the severity of vomiting and nausea. Combined with Poria and Pinellia, Chen Pi can ease chest discomfort, reduce cough, and help phlegm congeal.
Fu Ling (Poria) – It fosters water flow, helps control coughing, reduces dizziness, nervousness, tension, restlessness, anxiety, and fatigue. It is also used for an enlarged spleen, fluid retention, diarrhea, loss of memory, and stomach issues.
Gan Cao (Licorice) – It encourages absorption and detoxifies while also clearing heat, expelling phlegm, resolving toxicity, alleviating pain, relaxing spasms, and stopping cough. Gan Cao is also effective when used to augment Qi and tonify the spleen. Besides, the herb harmonizes other compounds in the formula.
Huo Xiang (Agastache) – It helps get rid of dampness from the stomach and lungs, cures vomiting, relieves summer heat, alleviates stomach inflation, and treats cholera.
Tian Nan Xing (Arisaema) – It contributes to the dispersion of cold phlegm in the channels. It also treats tetanus, convulsions, seizures, vertigo, dizziness, stroke, and numbness in the lockjaw and the limbs. It can also reduce nodules and swelling when used topically. Swelling, carbuncles, ulcers, and sores related to joint pain or trauma may be relieved with the use of Tian Nan Xing.
Zhi Shi (Aurantium Immaturus) – It encourages movement and helps regulate Qi. At the same time, it can eliminate phlegm, unblock the bowel, encourage normal body fluid, and remove stagnant food.
Zhu Ru (Bamboo Shavings) – It helps transform hot phlegm, stop vomiting, and clear heat. It can be used for viscous sputum, cough, coughing up blood (related to lung heat), and a stuffing chest sensation. It also helps treat gallbladder phlegm and fire that manifest as a bitter taste in the mouth, hypochondriac distention, chest congestion, insomnia, irritability, and nausea.
Shi Chiang Pu (Acorus Rhizome) – It vaporizes phlegm and opens the orifices. It also harmonizes the stomach, resolves dampness, refreshes the mind, fosters calmness, and calms the heart.
