About NRF2 Activator
NRF2 Activator is an exclusive Xymogen formula specifically designed to activate a pathway that plays a vital role in the regulation of glutathione s-transferase and other detoxification enzymes. It also helps regulate the production of superoxide dismutase (SOD), glutathione, and other essential molecules that provide antioxidant activity. Finally, NRF2 Activator fosters the downregulation of NF-κB and other signaling factors.
What is NRF2 and why does it matter so much?
NF-E2-related factor 2 or NRF2 in short, is a transcription factor in all humans that (1) regulates the expression of several detoxification and antioxidant genes (when encoded by the NFE2L2 gene) and (2) upregulates several detoxifying proteins and antioxidant enzymes (when anchored in the Keap 1 inhibitor). As a result, NRF2 plays a vital role in the protection against oxidative damage caused by inflammation and injury. But, that is merely it.
Other NRF2 Uses
It has been evidenced that the activation of the NRF2 pathway is key to our protection against chemical carcinogens. At the moment, NRF2 activators are under the microscope for the treatment of various disorders, ranging from schizophrenia to cancer. One NRF2 activator has even been found to help with multiple sclerosis (and is already approved for its treatment). NRF2 also has a leading role in the development of neuropathy in diabetes and hypertension.
Some of the natural substances that can influence the NRF2 pathway (all included in the NRF2 formula) are as follows:
Glucoraphanin – A lipophilic, highly bioavailable isothiocyanate that derives from broccoli and fosters the cellular defense mechanisms, such as detoxification and redox status, by activating NRF2. Upon consumption, it is hydrolyzed into SFN (sulforaphane), which induces Phase 2 cytoprotective enzymes. It may also activate ARE, which also induces phase 2 enzymes.
Pterostilbene (PTS) – A phenolic compound that has exhibited potent antioxidant, cytokine-inhibiting, and cytotoxic qualities. The naturally occurring ingredient may increase the mRNA expression (and the protein) of NRF2. Clinical trials have shown that the attenuation of oxidative stress that has been mediated by NRF2 can be responsible for the effect of PTS on the regulation of cell life. The same applies to the NRF2-mediated induction of cytokine. In animal studies, PTS is found to modulate cholinergic neurotransmission, upregulate many genes involved in mitochondrial function, and activate the NRF2 pathway. All these contribute to the transcription of antioxidant genes.
Curcumin – A compound tied to a long list of health benefits and biological activities, ranging from the induction of phase 2 detoxifying enzymes to cytokine-balancing activity. Studies suggest that curcumin from BCM-95 (a form of curcumin) is much faster than other curcumin forms, peaking after around 4.5 hours and gradually declining. Even after eight hours, it was still detectable in the blood, when other curcumin forms were traceable in the blood for only 4.5 hours. In fact, BCM-95 curcumin has a 6.3-fold higher bioavailability than the non-controlled-release curcumin and a 6.93-fold higher bioavailability than normal curcumin. Evidence also indicates that curcuminoids can translocate NRF2 to the nucleus of the pancreatic beta cells, which means that it could potentially modulate the natural cellular defense pathways of the body, providing oxidative stress protection.
Green Tea – One of the primary compounds in green tea is EGCG (epigallocatechin-3-gallate) polyphenol, which has been found to alter the signaling pathways of the cells as a means to regulate cellular apoptosis and proliferation. EGCG also helps activate phase 2 enzymes, such as the HO-1 detoxifying enzyme, by modulating the NRF2 redox-sensitive transcription factor.
The NRF2 formula is an XYMOGEN product that offers a much-promising approach to the transcriptional promotion of the NRF2/ARE pathway activity to support antioxidant activity.
NRF2 Activator Side Effects & How to Use
The recommended serving size is two capsules on a daily basis unless your healthcare provider directs otherwise.
Always consult your doctor or licensed healthcare professional before taking any supplement, especially if you are taking medication. In NRF2’s case, speak with your physician if you undergo cancer treatment or take blood thinners. NRF2 may interact with your medicines or treatment protocol.
Refrain from using if the tamper seal is broken or damaged.
Each container has 20 servings. The ingredients and amount per serving are as follows:
TrueBroc Glucoraphanin (seed from Brassica oleracea italica and extract from broccoli) (60 mg)
The formula does NOT contain any compounds that are derived from GMOs (genetically modified organisms). It also does NOT include:
