Sang Piao Xiao San History

Sang Piao Xiao San translates as Mantis Egg-Case Powder was formulated almost 1000 years ago during the Song dynasty by Kou Zongshi as a treatment for urinary disorders. He named the formula after the key ingredient benefiting the urinary system, sang piao xiao, which is the egg casing of a mantis. The rest of the formula, however, targets the mind. Kou strongly believed in the mind-body-spirit connection, crediting a peaceful mind and a joyful spirit as the foundation of a long, healthy life. In the following centuries, herbalists used this formula as the basis of a mental tranquility formula by removing only two ingredients.

My large dog had a pretty severe urine incontinence problem.Since she is a service dog I was terrified I was going to have to give her up or deal with diapers. The hormones and other suggestions from her vet didn't help much. Then I found this product. Suggested to give 2 or 3 times daily as a tea wasn't going to work for a dog cause she wasn't going to drink it! I simply give her the powder straight out of the spoon onto her tougue and rinse it down with water from a syringe. She takes it fine and has never gotten choked on the powder (Yet?) LoL I usually only have to give it to her once daily occasionally twice if I notice shes having a "Bad" spell and it has almost done away with her accidents! HOORAY!

Two Black Labs use this to eliminate urinary spay incontinence intstead of veterinary pharmacuticles. In addition, one of the two Labs also uses Qu Mai. 35 to 50 pound dog uses 1/4 teaspoon twice daily or 1 capsule twice daily.

Appears to be helping our older dog with urinary leakage issues. We are using 1/2tsp 2x day and we notice an improvement. Will know more after a few weeks. It also appears to ease her fear/anxiety.
