Niu Che Shen Qi Wan translates as Achyranthes and Plantago Formula is a 13th century variation of the popular 2000 year old Jin Gui Shen Qi Wan. The name of the formula comes from the two additional herbs, niu xi and che quan zi, included. These herbs produce a stronger effect on water regulation and edema.
