About Bupleurum 12

Bupleurum is a Seven Forests formula that is widely used in Traditional Chinese Medicine to help treat persistent low-grade infection and aching in the muscles. In Western Medicine, it can fight stress, neurosis, anxiety, digestive disturbance, and hypersensitivity. It is a superb product for individuals looking for a natural remedy to treat issues in the liver meridian, such as agitation, congestion, tension, and stomach distress that are caused by a functionally disturbed liver.

Bupleurum 12 also helps disperse Qi stagnation while improving the function of the spleen and the stomach. At the same time, it can be effectively used to resolve the accumulation of phlegm and moisture. The formula also combines well with other products to help boost individuals’ wellbeing and overall health.

How Bupleurum 12 Works

Bupleurum 12 is the primary therapy in the Seven Forests line that helps harmonize the body and promotes the healthy function of the liver. It is, in fact, a combination of three ancient Chinese Medicine prescriptions that are used as the foundation for all harmonizing therapies. These prescriptions are (1) Bupleurum and Cinnamon Combination (Chaihu Guizhi Tang), (2) Bupleurum and Chih-Shih (Sini San), and (3) Bupleurum and Tang-Kuei (Ziao Yao San) formula.

It is due to the carefully selected ingredients in the formula that Bupleurum can deliver the maximum of its fantastic health qualities. For example, peony with cinnamon twig opens the meridian. Blended with Tang-Kuei, peony relaxes and nourishes the liver. When mixed with licorice, peony helps relax tension while licorice with ginseng reinforces the stomach and invigorates the spleen.

On the other hand, Chih-Shih and bupleurum promote gallbladder function and disperse the congested liver Qi. Finally, the stomach function is significantly improved with the combination of atractylodes and pinellia, which also help prevent the accumulation of phlegm and moisture. As for Fu-Shen and scute, they contribute to soothing agitated spirit. Of course, there can be numerous pairings between the formulas, which can only be good news for patients in search of herbal remedies that deliver a wealth of health benefits with ease and versatility.
