About Pe Min Kan Wan

Pe Min Kan Wan is a traditional Chinese formula that helps nurture the well-being and health of the respiratory system, sinuses, and nasal passages for many centuries. It is also used to treat occasional seasonal challenges. It comes in the form of teapills, which makes it a much more convenient way to benefit from alternative medicine.

Pe Min Kan Wan is appropriate for both long-term and short-term use and is especially effective for lung or nasal issues with an allergic component. As with every Chinese traditional herbal tea, the goal is to help your body regain balance and harmony by confronting the disharmony that temporarily puts a burden on you and prevents you from living a happy and healthy life.

How Pe Min Kan Wan Works

Pe Min Kan Wan contains a blend of carefully selected ingredients, including herbs like Cocklebur, Magnolia, and Dyer's Woad, which are known for helping transform phlegm, expelling toxins, unblocking the sinus passages, and clearing heat. This makes the formula particularly useful when taken for sudden attacks of lung, ear, or sinus problems. That aside, due to the unique combination of herbs, Pe Min Kan Wan is also recommended for individuals with:

  • Sinus headache
  • Sinus pain
  • Frontal headache
  • Dizziness
  • Sore throat
  • Post-nasal drip
  • Sneezing
  • Congestion
  • Earache
  • Redness around the sinus cavities
  • Itchy eyes and nose
  • Cough

Note that Pe Min Kan Wan is not intended to treat recurring (systemic) sinus problems. In this case, you may want to consider another Traditional Chinese Medicine formula to help you address the root cause of your issue, such as Yin Deficient patterns. Alternatively, and if the disharmonies you are experiencing become chronic conditions, you may need to consult a Chinese Herbalist, who will help you find what is causing the initial distress.

The Superiority of Teapills vs. other Forms

Teapills or tea pills comprise one of the best ways to ensure you can take your alternative medicine with no restrictions whatsoever, be it in regards to time, preparation requirements, or another. They are convenient to use as you don’t need to decoct or brew the tea mixture – a time-consuming process that does not fit everybody’s daily routine and pace. You simply toss them in your bag, pocket, or purse and take them when it is the right time (usually with room temperature water) – preferably right before a meal.

Those with a sensitive stomach might be best to take their tea pill with a meal or right after one. The one thing to note when taking teapills is that the pea-sized pill may leave you with a bitter taste in the mouth after swallowing them. This is caused by the herb blend in them, which is usually bitter.
