About Estrotone

Estrotone Is an herbal hormonal balance formula specifically manufactured to help women in menopause or postmenopause go through the changes and challenges that occur during that period, without having to take estrogen or hormones. It is a non-GMO verified formula that contains concentrated herbal extracts, including Chaste Tree, Schizandra, and Evening Primrose Oil, which provide a wealth of synergistic benefits to women in perimenopause, menopause, and post-menopause. Also, its whole herb extracts help maintain hormones in balance while also supporting healthy aging and liveliness. It should be noted that Estrotone has been reformulated so that it now requires a one-per-day dose for maximum convenience.

What Does Estrotone Do?

Due to its carefully selected and combined ingredients, Estrotone enables women before, during, and after menopause to feel better. In detail, 100% vegetarian Estrotone combines a plethora of supportive nutrients, omega fatty acids, and full-spectrum herbs and effectively:

  • Reduces hot flashes and night sweats (see Black Cohosh).
  • Provides powerful antioxidant support that promotes healthy aging (see Rosemary and Ginger).
  • Offers comfort from the effect of the intense hormonal changes that take place.
  • Supports health and wellness via the whole-food cultured minerals and vitamins in the formula.

Menopause and Estrogen

In the months or years leading up to menopause, during menopause, and after menopause, women experience an array of symptoms as their hormones shift, particularly changes in the level of circulating estrogen.

In our peak reproductive years, the body’s estrogen levels are high and then drop throughout the menstrual cycle in a fairly predictive manner. The two hormones that largely control estrogen are (1) FSH – follicle-stimulating hormone, and (2) LH – luteinizing hormone. The first stimulates the follicles (each one contains an egg) in the ovaries so that estrogen is produced. The brain subsequently sends a signal to the pituitary gland to turn off FSH and initiate the production of LH, when estrogen reaches a certain level, which will stimulate the release of an egg from the ovary.

To prepare for pregnancy, the body produces both estrogen and progesterone, which causes FSH and LH levels to drop. Menstruation takes place if pregnancy does not occur, which also comes with a reduction in progesterone. And that is a cycle all women go through until they reach perimenopause (the period before menopause).

Common Symptoms of Perimenopause

Among the most commonly reported symptoms of perimenopause are:

  • Hot flashes – They can show up before menopause and are also a regular feature of sudden menopause after treatment with specific medications (i.e., chemo drugs) or surgery. They can last up to 5-10 minutes and range in severity. Some women describe hot flashes as a burning sensation (as if they are on fire from the inside out) while others just mention a fleeting sense of warmth. Hot flashes are indeed related to dramatic estrogen level fluctuations, but further research is required before reaching solid results.
  • Night sweats – It is estimated that up to 50% of perimenopausal women suffer from sweating and sudden waves of body heat, mostly during nighttime.
  • Vaginal dryness – The estrogen levels fall during late perimenopause, causing the vaginal tissue to become drier and thinner. Vaginal dryness becomes more intense after menopause and is usually followed by irritation and itching; even pain during intercourse.
  • Sleep disturbances – The majority of perimenopausal women face sleep issues, which might be associated with night sweats. Nevertheless, insomnia is a far more complex problem to blame on hormonal changes alone as it is also related to age (sleep cycles shift as we get older).
  • Uterine bleeding issues – Heavy periods is another challenge some perimenopausal women have to deal with. The reduction of progesterone production may cause thickening of the uterine lining, which leads to excessive bleeding during menstruation. Also, medical conditions, such as endometriosis and fibroids, may become more annoying as well.
  • Mood swings – Around 20% of perimenopausal women have sudden hormone-related changes in their mood, especially if they lead stressful lives. During the menopausal transition, some women also experience depression, particularly those with a history of depression and poor overall health.
  • Short-term memory problems – Difficulty concentrating and short-term memory are among the things many women complain during the menopausal transition. Whether this is hormone-associated or not is not yet evidenced. However, both progesterone and estrogen do play a vital role in maintaining brain function.

Treating Common Menopause Symptoms

To help combat the challenges that appear during perimenopause, menopause, and post-menopause years, physicians and OB-GYNs usually prescribe estrogen and low-dose estradiol-based products, low-dose birth control pills, antidepressants, low-dose contraceptives, and certain selective serotonin reuptake inhibitors, depending on the symptom they want to alleviate.
