ION Gut Support Ingredients 

The formula contains:

L-Glutamine: An amino acid that helps maintain the integrity of the intestinal lining and supports a healthy immune system

N-Acetyl Glucosamine: A sugar molecule that supports healthy gut bacteria and helps repair the intestinal lining

Deglycyrrhizinated Licorice Root Extract: An herb that soothes the digestive tract and reduces inflammation

Marshmallow Root Extract: Another herb that soothes the digestive tract and reduces inflammation.

Terrahydrite: Terrahydrite is an all natural clay mineral that has been shown to have a variety of benefits for gut health, including reducing inflammation and improving digestive function. Additionally, terrahydrite has been shown to promote the growth of beneficial gut bacteria.

ION Gut Health also has purified water and amino acid complexes (less than 1%). 

ION Gut Support Dosing Instructions 

The recommended dose is one teaspoon (5 ml) of the formula three times a day unless your healthcare practitioner instructs otherwise. For maximum results, it is suggested to take around 30 minutes before a meal. Nevertheless, you can still take it on an empty stomach or during/after a meal. The health-protective effects of the formula will yet be delivered to you. 

However, it is best to start with a low dose of 3-5 drops two times a day and slowly increase to the recommended dosage or until you reach a well-tolerated dose (always below the recommended dosing). 

Shake gently before use, as natural sediment occurs. No refrigeration needed.

Cautions: Keep out of the reach of children. If you are pregnant or breastfeeding, allergic to trace minerals, or if you have any chronic or recurring symptoms or illness, consult your healthcare provider before using this product.

Dosage for Children

The same low dosage applies to children. So you can start with 5 drops a day and double the amount every week until you reach 25 or 100 drops three times a day for children below 2 and over 2 years old, respectively. In this case, though, ensure you buy ION Gut Health for Kids. 

ION Gut Support Side Effects and Contraindications

Some individuals may experience bowel changes and/or symptoms of bloating, headache, or tiredness after taking the formula. This may occur because you are sensitive to the changes that take place in your defenses and your body’s effort to regain balance in the way it absorbs water and nutrients. To combat these symptoms or prevent them from happening in the first place, you can start with a low dose (3-5 drops) two times a day and slowly increase as tolerated. 

As for contraindications, although none are known, it is advised to take ION Gut Health 30 minutes before or after thyroid medications, binder supplements, or iodine.
