What is whitelisting?
Technically, whitelisting is the practice of explicitly allowing some identified entities access to a particular privilege, service, mobility, access or recognition. It is the reverse of blacklisting.
Or more simply, it means adding our email to your known contacts list/address book.
Overzealous spam filters or email filtering often send lots of emails to a spam mail folder never to be found or seen. The good thing is that it's easily fixable inside your account and can be manually maintained by the user, you, in your email client. (Google, Yahoo, AOL, Bellsouth, etc.)
How do I whitelist?
Whitelisting is one-time-only task. Usually, all you need to do is open an email message and verify the sender can be trusted.
