Formula Rationale
Curcuma Flow is a clinically proven patented delivery form of curcumin. This system protects curcumins from breakdown by water and uses PC (phosphatidylcholine) to carry curcumins across the intestinal lining. Curcuma Flow is supported by 25 clinical studies, involving more than 1400 subjects.1 Curcumin typically exhibits poor oral absorption in the body. Pharmacokinetic comparison studies have shown Curcuma Flow to improve bioavailability of curcuminoids by about 30-fold.2,3 Curcuma Flow can help patients lower their pain perception, reduce their need for pharmaceutical analgesics, and improve quality of life. In a fifty patient knee osteoarthritis trial, subjects taking the equivalent of two tablets a day of Curcuma Flow for three months, showed improvement in walking capacity, and WOMAC scores for joint pain, stiffness, and function. Curcuma Flow also reduced knee edema 53 percent, and improved quality of life markers. Finally, patients need for pain medication was significantly reduced. In a follow up study of 100 patients, Curcuma Flow users recorded 63 percent less use of pain medications, improvement in walking capacity, reduced edema and lowering of five inflammatory biomarkers.

In addition, Curcuma Flow has shown to have analgesic activity in a post carpal tunnel surgery trial, neuropathic pain (sciatica and carpal tunnel syndrome), and in muscle pain resulting from intense exercise. Curcuma Flow has also been shown to be effective in relieving pain in trials in comparison with Tylenol (acetaminophen). In a fifty patient diabetic trial, Curcuma Flow reduced foot edema, improved oxygen flow, and circulation to the small vessels of the foot. Circulation to the eye was measured in 38 diabetic retinopathy patients. The herbal formula improved blood flow to the eye, reduced retinal blood flow damage, and improved vision. Additional clinical trials have shown improvement in patients with uveitis, retinal detachment, and CSC (central serous chorioretinopathy) a condition in which
fluid accumulates in the eye.

Curcuma Flow also improves symptoms associated with prostatic hypertrophy (BPH), and PSA (prostate specific antigen), protects against radiation and chemotherapy damage, and improves cancer patient's quality of life. Curcuma Flow improves antioxidant defense. Besides lowering oxidative biomarkers, curcumins elevate, glutathione, vitamin C, E levels in the blood and key antioxidant enzymes catalase and superoxide dismutase. Curcumins downregulate inflammatory makers, CRP (C-reactive protein), TNF-alpha, COX -2, Interleukin- 1beta, Interleukin-6, and Erythrocyte Sedimentation Rate. In addition, curcumins regulate many cell membranes including signal transduction and cell-to-cell communication, improve nerve and muscle functioning.

Curcuma Flow has an excellent safety profile. PC not only dramatically improves absorption, PC also transports curcumins and prolongs their time in the blood. PC is known to benefit intestinal,
liver and lung function.

In conclusion, research and clinical experience indicates that Curcuma Flow has excellent absorption, and is not known to upset the digestive system unlike many turmeric/curcumin products, and can be used along with nutritional supplement, herbs, and pharmaceutical medications.
