How Coptis Purge Fire Works

Coptis Purge Fire is intended to address intense, localized, excess inflammations in individuals with strong constitutions. Coptis Purge Fire can be used for localized inflammations, skin eruptions, and chronic Liver Fire conditions.

Coptis Purge Fire is a combination of traditional formulas:

These, along with forsythia (lian qiao), lophatherum (dan zhu ye), phellodendron (huang bai), anemarrhena (zhi mu), gardenia (zhi zi) and sophora (ku shen) have strong anti-bacterial and in some cases, anti-viral effects.

Bupleurum (chai hu) invigorates liver qi and is used for prolonged infections.

Tang kuei (dang gui) invigorates the blood and alleviates pain.

Plantago seed (che qian zi) and alisma (ze xie) facilitate the body's removal of toxins. Inflammations of the excess type tend to produce relatively large amounts of fluids which may appear as discharge or pus.

Coptis Purge Fire contains sophora (ku shen) and akebia which clear heat and dry dampness.
