Open Label Human Clinical Trials on NEM®
The results of the studies showed that supplementation with NEM® produced an average 25% reduction in pain (Study 2) & an average 28% increase in flexibility (Study 1) in just 7 days. By the end of the 30-day trial, patients in Study 1 had an average reduction in pain of more than 72% (See graph, below) and nearly half of these patients reported that they were completely pain-free by the end of the study. Flexibility had improved by an average 44% (Study 1) (See graph, right) with more than half of the patients experiencing greater than 50% improvement in flexibility by the end of the study. NEM® not only improved flexibility, it also reduced the pain patients experienced while flexing the affected joint (range of motion - ROM) by 76% (See graph inset, right). No side effects were reported by study participants.

Double Blind Human Clinical Trial
(OPTION Study) In a randomized, double blind, placebo controlled human clinical study being prepared for publication, orally administered NEM® produced an average 15% reduction in pain & an average 13% reduction in stiffness in just 10 days. By the end of the 60-day trial, a full third of the patients had experienced a greater than 50% reduction in pain & more than half of the patients had experienced a greater than 50% reduction in stiffness. Again, no side effects were reported by study participants.
Studies on EggShell Calcium

Build Better Bone Density in 12 Months
In studies, eggshell calcium has been shown to be up to 20% more absorbable than other forms of calcium carbonate and as absorbable as or better than most other forms of calcium commonly found in supplements. Research reveals that eggshell calcium’s superior bioavailability is derived from naturally occurring transporter proteins inherent in the eggshell matrix. This natural source of calcium that is easily utilized by the body has been shown in multiple human clinical studies to not only stop bone loss but to also build bone mineral density (BMD). Eggshell calcium produces increased BMD in healthy women within 12 months (See graph) and in osteoporotic women in as little as 4 months. Another clinical study in both osteoporotic men and women showed that eggshell calcium reduced pain and bone resorption and increased mobility and BMD after 6 months. Eggshell calcium has even been shown in vitro to stimulate chondrocyte differentiation and cartilage growth.
The mineral profile of eggshell calcium represents a unique combination of essential nutrients for bone health. It not only provides a highly concentrated source of calcium, but also provides relevant levels of other trace minerals necessary for bone health including strontium, magnesium, zinc, and copper. Research has shown that strontium enhances bone mineralization through a dual-action of stimulating bone formation by osteoblasts and inhibiting bone resorption (destruction) by osteoclasts.
