Warren L. Cargal, M.A., L.Ac., Dipl. Acu., Clinic Director

Warren L. Cargal, M. A., L. Ac. is a licensed acupuncturist and herbalist and also a diplomat with the National Certification Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine. He has practiced Chinese medicine for over 10 years in the fields of obstetrics, gynecology and internal medicine and has helped hundreds of men and women with fertility issues. He maintains an active clinic practice in Atlanta Ga.
Cargal attended the Jung Tao School of Classical Chinese Medicine. He has a Master in Transpersonal Psychology from Westbrook University and he completed a four year training program in body-orientated psychotherapy at the Core Energetic Institute. He completed a two-year training program in Human Sexuality at the Institute of Human Abilities and taught for four years at the Barbara Brennan School of Healing. He has spent hundreds of post-graduate hours in Chinese herbology, nutrition and endocrine education.
Cargal is a member of the American Association of Oriental Medicine and the Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine alliance. He is a past Treasurer of the Georgia State Oriental Medicine Association and serves on the current Board of Directors.

Nicole Ćurčija, L.Ac., Dipl. AC

Nicole Ćurčija, L.Ac. is nationally board certified in acupuncture and Oriental medicine. She is a general practitioner of Oriental Medicine with a special interest in treating insomnia. Nicole holds a Masters of Science degree from the Colorado School of Traditional Chinese Medicine in Denver. The master's program involves four years of training in acupuncture and herbs under various Chinese and Korean doctors, as well as nutrition, psychology, and western medicine. Prior to entering the field of holistic medicine she studied speech pathology and audiology. She received her Bachelors degree from the University of North Carolina.
Appointments are available with Nicole on weekdays and Saturdays.

Jennifer S. Savage, M.S., L.Ac, Dipl. O.M.

Jennifer Savage L.Ac. is a board certified Acupuncturist in Georgia and California. She is nationally certified in Acupuncture and Chinese Herbology. She graduated with a Masters of Science degree in Traditional Chinese Medicine from one of the top schools in the country, The American College of Traditional Chinese Medicine (ACTCM), located in San Francisco. ACTCM houses many qualified instructors from China and a public clinic that sees more than 1500 patients a month. Some of the people she has studied with include: John Steinke, L. Ac., a sports medicine acupuncturist that worked for the Raiders, Bob Levine, L. Ac., a pulse diagnosis specialist and Mark Frost, L. Ac., a specialist in mental and emotional issues. Recently she has just moved her practice from California. She is also a certified Hatha Yoga instructor and holds an undergraduate degree from UGA.

Ofelia Sierra

Ofelia Sierra is a botanist and licensed massage therapist who joined the Acupuncture Atlanta team as both a therapist and customer service representative. She received a BS in botany from the University of Georgia in 2003 and graduated from Rising Spirit Institute of Natural Health in 2005. She specializes in neuromuscular therapy (NMT) which is based on key points on the body known as trigger points. Ofelia's massages also incorporate reflexology, deep tissue, myofascial release, and Swedish techniques, all of which she has had extensive training. Pre-natal massage is also available for expecting mothers. The massage experience is both therapeutic and very relaxing.

Oscar Sierra, L.Ac., Dipl. Acu.

I'm Oscar Sierra, one of the acupuncturists here and I also handle most of the customer service questions stemming from the sale of products from our online store. You and I may have already spoken on the phone about choosing the right Chinese herbal formula or nutritional supplement.
After graduating from the University of Georgia with a Bachelors in Nutrition Science and minor in Medical Anthropology, I apprenticed with Warren Cargal, L.Ac; Leslie Coff, L.Ac; Li Liu, L.Ac, and Jennifer Savage, L.Ac for 4 years of Acupuncture and Chinese Herbal medicine. My training and experience has granted me valuable clinical experience treating patients with disharmonies including: arthritis, sciatica, lumbalgia, headaches, stress & anxiety, colds/flu, musculo-skeletal trauma, and gastrointestinal issues. My treatment approach often involves TCM (herbs & acupuncture) as well as nutrition optimizations via supplements and tasty healthful recipes. Let me know how I can help!

Maureen H. Vellia, DC

Maureen H. Vellia, DC is a Chiropractor and has been in practice for 10 years. She is a graduate of Life College. Dr Vellia has studied under Dr John Bandy and is certified in Applied, Clinical and Educational Kinesiology. She is in her second year of training in Acupuncture and Chinese herbology. Her training also includes functional endocrinology and auricular therapy. Her approach is to treat the physical symptoms with consideration of the emotional and nutritional needs of her patients.
